Wedding Shape Success Story #220: Kristi S.

Watch Kristi tighten her abs, sculpt her back, and get shapely arms for the biggest day of her life

After losing 30 pounds, Kristi looks fabulous in her wedding gown and feels like a million bucks too. Better still, she’s got 12 months until her big day. Watch Kristi burn fat, tone up, and get fit with WeddingShape--the fun, easy-to-follow workout plan that can be performed just about anywhere.

Here’s what Kristi had to say when we asked her about WeddingShape Diet and Fitness Guide for Brides:

My initial motivation for starting WeddingShape was that I got engaged. I was 30 pounds overweight. I was so unhappy with myself. I had a good life—I still have a good life, but I feel even better now—but regardless, before that I just always felt that even though I had a good life, and I was happy, I wasn’t.

I just was tired of the way I was living. I wanted a change. I wanted a lifestyle change, not just a quick-fix thing that was going to last until I got married and then just go back to normal. I wanted to make a lifestyle change that would stay with me… for life.

The dress that I picked out was a mermaid silhouette. It’s not anything like what I thought I would pick. I never thought I would fit into one of those because I was 30 pounds overweight for so long, and nothing ever fit over my hips. I just never thought I would fit into it and I tried it on.

The person who was helping me at the bridal salon came in and just said, ‘You are so lucky. Not very many people can wear that type of silhouette.’

And that just made me feel so proud of myself.

The specific parts of my figure that I want to shape and tone are my arms because that’s obviously what most people will be seeing when they see me on my wedding day, and for the rest of my life. I always wanted toned arms.

My back. I remember watching the Oscars a couple years ago and Hillary Swank wore that beautiful, backless blue dress. And I just remember thinking: Her back looks amazing!

And I want my abs to be toned. Even though no one is going to see my abs in my dress, that has always been a problem area for me. That’s where I carry all of my weight. And although I lost weight, I’m still not toned there. I just feel that if I would tone my abs, my posture would be better, and overall I would just feel better in my dress.

Before I started losing weight I was a size 10, which is big for me. I’m only 5’3”. And I said to myself: Well, I’ll be satisfied if I get down to a size 6. I don’t think I’ll ever get down any lower than that. When I started college I was a size 2, and I figured I might as well just throw all of those old clothes out. Why am I even hanging onto them?

And just last night I went to the store and I bought a size 2 pair of jeans. And they fit. They’re not tight. They’re even a little loose in my butt and I love it.
